Caring for a Lifetime The Circle of Life was formed in 1978, first as a campaign theme, and then later the name was used as the title for a new department at Epsilon Sigma Alpha (ESA) Headquarters. It was due to the growth of special events for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and the increasing chapter involvement that this department needed to be developed to handle all of the bookkeeping, managing of events, material distribution, and support for ESA chapter members.
What is the Circle of Life? The Circle of Life office within ESA is your primary source for information and assistance regarding St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital events. The Circle of Life serves as a liaison between Circle of Life Coordinators, ESA Membership, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. By working closely with the Circle of Life office, ESA members are assured a wonderful support team.

About St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, opened in 1962, is the single largest center in the United States for the treatment and research of pediatric cancer and other childhood catastrophic diseases. Founded by the late entertainer Danny Thomas, the hospital treats thousands of children each year and is supported primarily through public contributions raised by its fund-raising arm. St. Jude patients are treated regardless of their ability to pay, with the hospital covering all costs not covered by insurance, and all costs when patients have no insurance.
